Jazz meets Folklore

''Folk melodies are the embodiment of an artistic perfection of the highest order...''
Bela Bartok

Mentha was established in 2016 by Viktor Haraszti (ViO), saxophonist, producer, and Martha Horvath, singer, painter, storyteller and puppetmaster after many years of creative collaboration between the two artists. Martha's dedication to Hungarian folk music and Viktor's to jazz lead the two to come up with a unique and refreshing concept.
"The Sound of GUBA" -as they call it- is a mix of all the best ingredients from both worlds. Deep and meaningful Hungarian folk songs combined with contemporary jazz and more.
